“Clean eating shouldn’t be bland and boring.”

That’s a statement we wholeheartedly agree with, but those are the words of Bazaar Bars founder Eid Mostafa, a man after our own snacking hearts. Eid believes clean eating can be creative and fun if you know the right places to look.

One of the best places to look is San Diego, which is where Bazaar Bars is headquartered. At any given time, visitors might walk through the wafting pleasure of the scents of cardamom, marshmallow root, and sumac. Take it from the airfare snacking connoisseurs…Bazaar Bars make some of the most unique (and delicious) snacks around.

A few years ago, two brothers were growing tired of seeing more of the same bars at the grocery store. And the Mostafas decided to do something about it.

“We started experimenting in our own kitchen, drawing on inspiration from our heritage and travels to other parts of the world,” the Mostafa brothers said. “We named our creation Bazaar Bars, inspired by simpler times when dry fruits, nuts, herbs and spices were traded in open-air markets along the Silk Road.”

That inspiration yielded with some…unconventional…flavors. These aren’t your grandmother’s ingredients—unless your grandmother grew up trading sage and thyme in Istanbul. And in that case, we’re coming over for dinner.

On first taste, we were shocked by how tasty these bars were, especially those including more polarizing flavors like anise, or things we don’t expect in an energy bar like sage, sumac, and black tea.

As the Mostafas say, “if you’re health-conscious and ingredient-focused with an appreciation for big flavors, then grab a bar and start spicing up your snack stash.”

As many of our customers know, we currently have four Bazaar ancient superfood bars in our growing snack assortment:

  • Apricot Sumac
  • Cardamom Mocha
  • Pistachio Tahini
  • Nigella Anise
We’re excited to unveil the newest addition to the Bazaar lineup: Coconut Sage.

This one is definitely more exploratory, and we are big fans. The combination of coconut and date mixed with the black tea and hint of sage just…works. Plus, each bar contains 7mg of caffeine on top of the 6 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein, so you may want to make this a morning bar.

Take our sage advice and go (coco)nuts…add this creative new option to your next pouch.
