Though airfare was born near the sunny beaches of Venice, California, we’ve traded the sun and ocean for the snow and chowdah of Cambridge, MA. So if your snack pouches come with a little frost on them, you’ll know why.

One of the advantages of being in Boston (besides picking up a wicked cool accent) is  developing an intimate knowledge of Logan Airport. And today we’re excited to share  one of the best-kept secrets at Logan relevant to anyone on the go in Beantown: where to get the best coffee.

For this specific coffee secret, you'll have to fly through or stop in Terminal B. In the future we’ll release a deeper dive into Logan, including where to get the healthiest food. For now, let's grab some java.

Allow us to set the scene: you're at Logan. You're through security at Terminal B, but short on time and in desperate need of come caffeine. You think you're in good hands thanks to two major coffee chains...50 feet apart. But, you aren't. As many of us have experienced, the lines at Dunkin’ and Starbucks are long...very long (especially during the pandemic).

Recently, one of us found himself in this exact scenario. With only five minutes until boarding, the lines for both Dunkin' and Starbucks were around corners. Was he going to have to give up on his coffee dream?

Down but not out, he kept hope alive. In part this was due to confidence built from prior successes uncovering gems at airports like Los Angeles International, Chicago O'Hare, and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson. He knew there had to be another option. And that’s when he saw it: N.e. MKT.

N.e. MKT opened in August 2021 and offers "a taste of New England with made-to-order sandwiches, salads and bowls, along with a locally sourced grab-and-go selection," according to Logan Airport's Facebook page. We stand by it

This spot is a winner because it’s relatively empty compared to Starbucks and Dunkin', and—more importantly—has much better coffee, especially if you’re into drip or cold brew. With La Colombe cold brew on tap, a tasty drip coffee option and no line, it was total on-the-go satisfaction. Our airfare cofounder hero easily made his flight, delicious coffee in hand.

So go grab some tasty line-less coffee next time you're in Boston, and let us know when you do. You’re welcome.
