At two years old, Amrita's founder Arshad Bahl's son was diagnosed with autism and severe gastrointestinal issues. After aggressive gluten-free and dairy free nutrition program his GI issues healed and allowed him to better absorb nutrition. After his son’s recovery, Arshad was convinced that plant-based nutrition was the right approach for managing inflammation. He dedicated himself to developing snacks free of damaging ingredients and founded Amrita Foods in 2012. Amrita's mission to create better-for-you plant-based snacks that nourish the body and soul, creating snacks free from the top nine food allergens. They believe people and social mission take equal priority to profits, and they are deeply involved in giving back to the autism community.
